The Christmas tree of Heaven isn’t filled with colored lights
That twinkle like a thousand stars on cold dark wintry nights.
It isn’t decked with balls of red or colored candy canes,
And underneath no packages are circled by toy trains.
The Christmas tree of Heaven isn’t elegant and nice,
For it’s the tree where Jesus hung and died to pay my price.
I cry to think of how it once was stained with crimson red
And watered with the many tears I know He must have shed.
The Christmas tree of Heaven is where Jesus took my place,
To offer faith and hope and love and God’s free gift of grace.
And though its not like other trees with branches thick and green,
It brought to all the greatest gift the world has ever seen!

Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!
– 2 Corinthians 9:15
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree,
that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.
– 1 Peter 2:24
God saved you by His grace when you believed.
And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done,
so none of us can boast about it. – Ephesians 2: 8, 9
