Wisdom

Righteous chews on wisdom like a dog on a bone,
rolls virtue around on his tongue.
His heart pumps God’s Word like blood through his veins; his feet are as sure as a cat’s.                                     (Psalm 37:30,31) MSG

Have you ever watched a dog with a bone? They are usually kind of obsessed with them. We should be somewhat ‘obsessed’ with knowing God and seeking wisdom.

This dog (short video) loves his bone.

Ever wondered if you might have O.C.D. O.C.C.D.                                                                            – Obsessive Compulsive Christianity ‘Disorder’

(OK, I made that up. Don’t try to google it. However, according to healthline.com an overwhelming majority (about 94%) of people do have a little bit of OCD, though for a few it can be more serious, and has to do with unwanted thoughts.)

Seeking God and His wisdom continually is very much wanted thinking. Though, I would say the world often views Christians as sick, dumb & ‘disordered’.

13 If we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us…    (2 Corinthians 5:13,14) BSB

Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.                                                                                        (Proverbs 3:13-15) NLT

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.  (Proverbs 2:1-5) NIV
